About us

MyGlove is a new brand that has been born from The Deep Print Movement.

The Deep Print Movement began hand printing into leather at the turn of the new century, supplying all Paul Smith's printed leather. They were awarded Paul Smith 'Accessories Supplier of the Year' in 2006. Now they supply, design and produce products for various labels including Paul Smith, Dunhill, Hermes, Linley, Bill Amberg and others where quality is paramount.

All the printed leather is produced in The Deep Print Movement studio in south London. The leather, once carefully selected and hand printed, is then sent to one to of our manufacturers in England or Italy.

Our Product Details

The Design

Our products' uniqueness is derived from the creative combination of the leather, structure and printed image. Many offer a direct visual play between the product and the printed pattern. As well as generating designs in house, we also collaborate with well know and 'like minded' designers.

Our original print image design uses various techniques from original hand painted artwork through to photographic treatments. The success of the design depends on the relationship between the leather, the structure and the visual image.

The Printed leather

The Deep Print Movement prints leather for all our products in its south London studio. With more experience in this field than any other company, it is the main supplier of printed leather for exclusive companies like Paul Smith, Dunhill and Hermes.

The printing technique of The Deep Print Movement allows the leather to retain all its natural characteristics relating to smell, feel and look. Our simple "gloves" are sensual and soft, protecting and fitting their products like a glove!

The Leather Sourcing

Europe has a wealth of the highest quality leather, with a rich history of tanning tradition.

Wherever possible we source our leather from within Europe - Scandinavia, France Germany and of course Italy.using mostly small family tanners rather than large faceless organisations who mass produce leather for industrial use.

The leather we use ranges from the finest gloving leather to traditional saddlery leather using calf, deer, goat, pig skins and hides. Virtually all of our leather is vegetable tanned which means that it is chemical free, utilising natural plant extracts like mimosa flowers and oak bark.

We believe in not using tanning processes that pollute the environment or engage in long haul transport that impacts on this too.

The Manufacture

Similarly our manufacturing is predominantly carried out in England and Italy, where family businesses still abound using the craftsmanship developed over many generations. It is important for us that we can be certain that the entire manufacturing process is completed in the locality.

We strive for the highest quality of design, leather print and manufacture.

Leather and Print Care

Leather is a natural material and consideration should be given to this.

Our patterns are printed directly into the leather surface without the use of coatings or transfers. (Coatings and transfers affect the natural characteristics of leather producing an inferior product). We use a polish that is water based and is used to rejuvenate and add suppleness to the leather whilst acting as a protection against light water and dirt penetration. As with all quality leather, for rejuvenation and protection it is suggested that goods are polished at regular intervals. For light use it is suggested every 3 months and for heavy use, every month.
